Sara: Love and Revolution

Sara Pérez Romero, a politically active figure from Querétaro, joins forces with her husband, President Francisco I. Madero, in the struggle to restore democracy in Mexico. From childhood she exhibited a resolute spirit, growing up among the workers on her father's farm and pondering the social disparities of the country. Her later studies in California exposed her to liberal and democratic ideals that would accompany her throughout her life.
