Science of Stupid
This series fuses rigorous science with a collection of the wildest, most spectacular and painful user-generated clips ever captured. Host Richard Hammond guides viewers through a spectrum of mishaps featuring fearless yet misguided individuals from across the globe and then unpacks the science behind their failure and embarrassment using tailored animations and ultra-slow-motion cinematography. Each episode gathers roughly 50 to 60 misadventure clips, as ordinary folk stumble into extraordinary mistakes. Week after week, viewers witness stunts involving weightlifting, firearms, or jumping over cars that go wrong, paused, rewound, replayed and analysed to pinpoint precisely what went wrong and why. Richard explains the physics, chemistry and biology at play, then presents forensic details to illuminate the stupidity behind the failure. He examines weight, volume, momentum, combustion and even how the brain operates. This is misadventure explained. This is the Science of Stupid.
