Fiona discovers a hidden silver lining when her handbag is stolen, as a dashing stranger named Steve intervenes to rescue her. Lip is astonished to learn that Ian might be gay, and he suggests his brother should pay a visit to the ever-accommodating Karen Jackson down the block. However, the abrupt arrival of Fiona's furious father, Eddie, shatters Ian's already fragile hopes of a future with Karen.
