Ian is assaulted, left shaken and bewildered, wondering what he might have done to provoke the attack. A second blow arrives, landing him in the hospital, and upon awakening he learns he has amnesia. Overnight he becomes an outsider to his own family and friends, and even his sexuality becomes a mystery. At the same time, Debbie celebrates her sixteenth birthday. Tom decides to go public with their relationship, but Debbie questions whether their bond was ever truly serious. Kelly has troubling news for Shane about her pregnancy. Frank and Monica confront an extraordinary dilemma as they hear the voice of newborn Stella; they wonder whether they want to hear what she has to say about her parents and Chatsworth. Ian’s amnesia grants him a new perspective on his life, leaving him to wonder if Chatsworth is still the right place for him.
