This documentary examines the folklore, testimonies, and lived experience of enduring hurricane-force winds that sweep the Acadian communities along Western Cape Breton Island, spanning Margaree Harbour to Cheticamp. It unveils breathtaking landscapes captured in 130 mph gusts. Though these Suêtes frequently wreak damage—roofs ripped from structures and even homes torn apart—the film also reveals a sturdy streak of local humor woven into life beneath these extreme conditions. Residents ranging from children to those over ninety recount their experiences of living under these winds.
