That Sinking Feeling
Misty awakens, chilled and disoriented, in a bed that feels foreign to her. At the foot of the bed, the owner of the residence, Ashton, attends to her with a fixation that borders on obsession. He insists he saved Misty from an accident in which she drove her car into a lake, a catastrophe Misty cannot remember and cannot fathom why she would have been behind the wheel. Rather than soothing her anxieties, Ashton leaves her alone to rest, promising to check back in later. Trapped in solitude, Misty is besieged by increasingly strange occurrences as glimpses of the crash begin to surface. What truly happened at the lake? Who is Ashton, and does he know more than he lets on?
