The Bonfire of Taiwan

A powerful tycoon with deep political and business ties, Tien-Fu Liu, and his son Won-Tsung Liu oversee a vast illicit drug trade. Cheng-Hsien Lee, an officer in the Criminal Investigation Division, is ordered by his superior Yao-Wei Lee, Chief of the No. 1 Team, to go undercover and probe the criminal activities surrounding Tien-Fu Liu and the Cheng Long Group. As the crackdown on the Cheng Long Group intensifies, several officers are wounded or killed; yet the syndicate, bolstered by extensive political and financial influence, proves stubborn to dismantle. During the investigation, Cheng-Hsien discovers that Tien-Fu Liu is the man who killed his father. Meanwhile, another grave crime unfolds, and Cheng-Hsien, utterly devoted to his duty, springs into action to confront the criminals and defend justice against evil and injustice.
