The Devil Smokes (and Saves the Burnt Matches in the Same Box)
In mid-1990s Mexico City, five young siblings are entrusted to their grandmother after their parents vanish without warning. As they struggle to endure, the boundary between reality and something darker begins to blur. The grandmother, tormented by eerie visions and mounting fears, grows distant, while the children's grip on reality starts to slip. After a clash with their neighbors, the siblings retreat further into isolation, severing ties with the outside world.
