The Good Guys
In 1970s Dallas, Dan Stark and his partner Frank Savage were top-tier detectives, lauded as American heroes after saving the Governor's son. Thirty years later, Dan Stark is a washed-up investigator who spends his days drinking and reliving his glory days. His new partner, Jack Bailey, is ambitious, by-the-book, and generally a good detective, though his snark can be a liability. His pattern of self-sabotage has earned him a dead-end post in the department, stuck solving tedious petty-theft cases that nobody else wants. Worse, he's saddled with babysitting Dan, the drunk pariah who can never keep partners for long.
