The Grand Magal of Touba

Each year, the Mouride brotherhood's pilgrimage unfolds in Touba. Drawing pilgrims from across Senegal and from around the world, this religious event gathers participants for three days and two nights. The Grand Magal in Touba evokes Black Islam, promoting peace and tolerance, born of the syncretism between Islam and the black heritage of Senegal's Sufi brotherhoods.
