The Men's Room

The Men's Room is a British television drama miniseries produced by the BBC that first aired in 1991. Spanning five 50-minute installments, the series was adapted for television by Laura Lamson from Ann Oakley's 1989 novel of the same title and features Bill Nighy, Harriet Walter, Amanda Redman, Charlotte Cornwell, and James Aubrey. A darkly comic, Thatcher-era period piece, it charts the affair between two academics: Charity Walton, once a devoted wife and mother, and Mark Carleton, a habitual womanizer. Nighy has described the series as the breakthrough role that launched his career.
