The Pearl Button
The ocean holds the history of humanity, harboring the voices of the Earth and those from outer space. Water draws its momentum from the stars and transmits it to living beings. As Chile’s longest border, water also guards the mystery of two enigmatic buttons found on its ocean floor. Chile, with 2,670 miles of coastline and the largest archipelago in the world, presents a supernatural landscape of volcanoes, mountains, and glaciers. Within it are the voices of the Patagonian Indigenous people, the first English sailors, and also those of its political prisoners. Some say water has memory; this film shows that it also has a voice.
