The Violinist
Set in Singapore in the late 1930s, Kai and Fei are childhood friends and aspiring violinists. When Japan invades Malaya in 1941, Kai abandons his music career to join the anti-Japanese resistance. After the war, Kai disappears. Determined to locate him, Fei travels across Southeast Asia, chasing any news of Kai. Yet as time passes, Fei must confront whether she should pursue her own music to define the years ahead.
