Civil strife looms in New Hell as Vintage schemes to unleash Weiss onto Earth to control souls. To counter this threat, Keima Katsuragi is conscripted to unseal the five Jupiter sisters—the Goddesses who sacrificed themselves to seal Weiss.

Keima recounts for the audience how, since the previous season, he has captured fourteen girls and two distinctive ones. Meanwhile, Kanon prepares for her school exams but ends up conversing with her split personality, Apollo, who claims to be a goddess. The next day, Keima and Elsie rendezvous with Tenri, where Diana resides within her. Diana asks Keima to marry Tenri so that Tenri’s love for him would augment her powers, a proposal he refuses. When pressed about her identity, Diana reveals she is a goddess, one of the Jupiter Sisters, who aided the New Demons of Hell against the Weiss when they sought to seize the three realms of Earth, Heaven and Hell and dominate all souls. After defeating them, the Jupiter Sisters sealed themselves with the Weiss, sacrificing themselves, but they escaped ten years ago. Diana then asks Keima to help locate her sisters and reveals they are found inside his past conquests, who have not forgotten their memories with him.
