Sleepyhead / Scaredycat

Three women are found murdered, the killer having induced strokes that left them incapacitated. A fourth woman survives but cannot communicate due to locked-in syndrome, potentially able to identify her assailant. DI Tom Thorne concludes that the killer intended to render the victims incapacitated rather than dead.
