Vinland

Like many others, Daniil leaves his native Georgia and relocates to Prague in search of higher wages. Formerly a teacher, he finds work among Ukrainian laborers under the control of a Russian boss named Sergei, and becomes a cog in the machinery that exploits the labor of illegal immigrants. Vinland follows the lives of people who exist all around us, yet about whom we know so little, because their identities vanish the moment they hand over their passports to a profit-driven mafia.
