The long-running NPR news quiz has been hosted by Peter Sagal since 1998, succeeding Dan Coffey. Carl Kasell served as announcer and scorekeeper until 2014, after which Bill Kurtis assumed those duties. WWDTM made its television debut in 2011 with a BBC America one-off special, followed by a 2013 live broadcast shown in movie theaters across the United States and Canada.
