Wet Gold

Wet Gold follows Laura, a young cafe waitress, whose chance encounter with a drunken elderly man named Sampson unleashes a cascade of captivating legends about a sunken boat carrying millions in gold. Although Laura's boyfriend Barnes doubts Sampson's tales, she comes to believe them. A visit to a library leads Laura to an old newspaper article that aligns with Sampson's account, confirming the legend. Believing the story, Laura convinces Barnes, Sampson, and Keating, the dive shop owner who is drawn to Laura, to mount a search for the treasure. They depart from Key West aboard the Baker's boat, with Barnes tasked with watching over the vessel. Keating's growing affection for Laura stirs tension with Barnes. After spending some time in the water, their dreams begin to materialize, yet the moment of gold's discovery appears to alter their personalities.
