Triggered by his mother's impending funeral, Simon, a modest twenty-something, invites friends he hasn't seen in years. Back in school, this clique was inseparable, but life pulled them in different directions: Lena and Tim are trying to reconcile their jobs as architect and teacher with the big question of family planning; Lars is an unsuccessful and sarcastic actor; Max is a successful lawyer who is having his first relationship experience; and Hannah, Simon's great love from school days, is in the middle of preparing her wedding. Soon, old secrets and new challenges arise, and the clique must navigate an alcohol-fueled night and learn what it means to live.
