CDC shakes things up: Hepatitis B shot no longer for all newborns
On Friday, CDC vaccine advisers made a big splash by tossing out the old rule that all newborns in the US should get the hepatitis B vaccine right away. Thanks to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., now only babies with infected moms will get the shot at birth. Experts are worried this could turn back the clock on public health gains. Parents are now in the driver's seat to decide when their kids get vaccinated.
