Lancashire Council Leaders Criticize Government Plans

Lancashire council leaders are expressing their frustration over the government's decision to reconsider local authority restructuring plans. The government announced they had reversed a previous decision from July that aimed to reduce 15 councils to four. This has raised concerns about the impact on services and the democratic process, with one leader calling the move 'Totally bonkers.'

The uncertainty has many worried about the stability of local government operations and service quality for residents.
