Modi highlights HCL-Foxconn venture for India's chip future

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a major step for India in chip manufacturing with the HCL-Foxconn joint venture in Jewar. This Rs 3,700 crore project aims to boost self-reliance in semiconductors and will be operational by 2028, covering 48 acres and funded largely by the government.
