LJP Chief Confirms 2027 Electoral Participation
\n\nUnion Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan confirmed that his party will contest the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He made the announcement on September 28 during the \"Youth Bole Toh\" programme held in Prayagraj.\n\nSpeaking at the event, Paswan stated, \"There is no doubt that LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.\" Upon his arrival at the venue, he reiterated this commitment alongside other policy initiatives. \"I came here to listen to my young colleagues,\" Paswan said. \"We succeeded in establishing a Youth Commission in Bihar. Young people constitute the largest segment of the country’s population. We are also taking the initiative to have a Youth Commission at the national level… There is no doubt that the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is going to contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2027.\"\n\nThe announcement comes as major political entities prepare for the upcoming state polls. \n\nDuring the same programme, Paswan revealed plans to form a National Youth Commission aimed at addressing challenges faced by young people across India. \"National Youth Commission will be formed to understand and address the issues faced by youth,\" he said.\n\nIn addition to the commission, Paswan announced plans to launch a youth portal. The digital platform is intended to facilitate communication of issues by young people and enable efforts towards their resolution. He urged young people to participate in decision-making processes affecting their futures through these mechanisms.\n\nPaswan appeared at the event in casual attire, wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
