A jury has retired to consider its decision in the trial of former Ulster Unionist Party leader Jeffrey Donaldson. The proceedings took place at Newry Crown Court.
The event occurred on Friday, June 19. By 4:40pm that day, verdicts had not yet been delivered for all 23 charges against Mr. Donaldson.
According to Sundayworld, the atmosphere inside the court was described as a tense silence when the jury left the courtroom.
