How scores, summaries, and corrections are handled on Fanziz.
Fanziz is operated by Yudiz Solutions Limited. This page explains where sports scores come from, how summaries are put together and checked, who can change them, and how to report a mistake.
How sports scores are sourced
Live scores, match status, and results are supplied by sports data feeds and shown through the Fanziz platform. Cricket coverage is produced with our launch partner, CricTracker. Soccer, tennis, basketball, and baseball scores use the same live-data pipeline.
The scoreboard follows the latest update from that feed. A score, status, or result can change if the feed revises it after an on-field review, a data correction, or a change in the match, including a delay, abandonment, or no-result. Fanziz does not officiate matches and does not replace the feed with a separate score.
How summaries are compiled
Short match and news summaries are compiled from the score feed and from reporting already published on Fanziz or by our content partners. Each summary brings together the score, the result, and the main events in plain language.
A summary is a short account of that material. It is not an eyewitness report, and it is not a second scoreboard. Names, numbers, and the result in the summary are taken from those sources.
How summaries are fact-checked
Before a summary is used as the description of a match, the team names, score, and result in it are checked against the current score feed. If they do not match the feed, the summary is corrected or it is not published.
When a summary and the scoreboard disagree, the scoreboard is the score. A later feed update can require the summary to be updated so it still matches the score, status, and result.
Human oversight
Editors can review, rewrite, correct, or remove any summary or story. A correction made by the editorial team replaces the earlier text. A removed or corrected summary is not put back on the page.
Editors do not invent a match result. The scoreboard continues to follow the data feed. A written correction fixes the words on the page; it changes the displayed score only when the feed itself is updated.
Corrections
If a score note, summary, or story is wrong, email corrections@fanziz.com. Include the page URL, the line that is wrong, and the correct information.
We review correction requests and update the page when the report is right. General questions still go to support@fanziz.com.
