Finalist Announcements Begin Nov. 2
Milwaukee — Major League Baseball will unveil the three finalists for its major postseason awards on Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. CT, according to MLB Network.
The announcement marks the start of a series of award ceremonies and announcements that will continue through mid-November. The Milwaukee Brewers are among the primary contenders as the league prepares to honor individual achievements from the recent season.
Four members of the World Series champion Brewers have been named finalists for baseball's biggest individual awards, according to the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) balloting that concluded at the end of the regular season.
Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski is among the top three vote-getters for the National League Cy Young Award. He is considered a heavy favorite to win the prize. If he wins, he would join Rollie Fingers (1981), Pete Vuckovich (1982), and Corbin Burnes (2021) as past Brewers winners of the award.
Other Brewers players expected to receive votes include second baseman Brice Turang for the MVP award. However, Turang is not expected to make the finalist list for that honor.
Manager and Rookie Honors
The BBWAA will also announce the winners for Manager of the Year on Nov. 10. Brewers manager Pat Murphy is the prohibitive favorite for the award, according to BetMGM odds of minus-425. He is ahead of Atlanta's Walt Weiss, who holds odds of plus-400.
Rookie of the Year winners for each league will be announced on Nov. 9 by baseball writers.
Defensive and Specialized Awards
The Silver Slugger Award finalists will be announced on Nov. 5. Brewers second baseman Brice Turang and left fielder Jackson Chourio have already won Gold Glove Awards from Rawlings; it is Turang's second and Chourio's first.
The Platinum Glove Award, presented by Rawlings to the best defenders in each league, will be announced on Nov. 6. Additionally, the Heart & Hustle Award, presented by the MLB Players Alumni Association, will be announced on the same day. Brewers nominee Sal Frelick is one of 30 nominees for that honor.
Cy Young and Relief Pitcher Recognition
The Cy Young Award and Relief Pitcher of the Year winners will be announced on Nov. 11 by baseball writers. Misiorowski is nearly a lock to win the Cy Young Award, with BetMGM giving him odds of minus-10,000 (a 99% chance).
Relief Pitcher of the Year is a new award addition. San Diego's Mason Miller is expected to win, with odds of minus-10, while Brewers Aaron Ashby and Trevor Megill may receive some votes.
All-MLB Teams and Executive Honors
First and second All-MLB teams will be unveiled on Nov. 11. Brewers candidates include Turang, William Contreras, Jake Bauers, and Misiorowski.
Executive of the Year, Hank Aaron Award, Comeback Player of the Year, Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman Reliever of the Year Awards, and Edgar Martinez Outstanding DH of the Year will be named on Nov. 11 by MLB.
MVP and Silver Slugger Finalists
MVP winners for each league will be announced on Nov. 12 by baseball writers. Brewers players like Turang are expected to receive votes but likely not make the finalist list.
Silver Slugger Award winners, presented by Louisville Slugger, will be announced on Nov. 17.
