According to a report published on June 23, 2026, by Berwick Star News, MP Limbrick stated that criminal numbers in the area have increased by 9.1 per cent compared to the previous year.
The petition calls for an increase in police presence within Casey and requests that the Victorian Government address these issues regarding officer deployment.
A VicPol member revealed during associated discussions that only 12 officers are currently handling the region's crime surge. This disclosure forms part of the context surrounding the call for additional resources.
