Survey Released by University of Maryland Researchers
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Maryland's Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement (CDCE) and the Election Resilience Lab was released on June 23, 2026. The survey gathered data from 1,001 Maryland citizens between April 15-26, 2026.
Voter Satisfaction With Voting Methods
According to the results published by University of Maryland Today, more than nine in ten respondents reported being very or somewhat satisfied with their voting experiences. Specifically:
- Ninety-three percent (93%) were satisfied with early in-person voting.
- Ninety-five percent (95%) were satisfied with Election Day in-person voting.
- Ninety-two percent (92%) were satisfied with mail-in voting.
The study found that 66% of Marylanders described their typical Election Day voting experience as "very satisfied," while another 29% reported being "somewhat satisfied."
Assessment Of Poll Workers And Locations
Respondents provided positive reviews regarding poll workers. Fifty-seven percent (57%) rated the performance of poll workers as excellent, and 33% rated it as good. Only 1.5% of respondents said poll worker performance was poor.
The buildings where ballots were cast were deemed either excellent or good by 87% of respondents.
