Ed Goodson is a blunt, outspoken father who relishes unleashing unsolicited, often politically incorrect observations on anyone within earshot. No one is safe from his tirades, including his sons: Henry, a once-aspiring writer who now works as an unpaid blogger, and Vince, the meek half of a husband-and-wife real estate duo led by the domineering Kathleen. When Henry discovers he can no longer cover the rent for his pretty roommate and secret admirer, Sam, Ed reveals a softer side and invites Henry to move in with him. Henry agrees, knowing the verbal onslaught will persist and there will be no escape.
