A Christmas Carol
On Christmas Eve, the avaricious Ebenezer Scrooge is roused from sleep by the visitation of spirits who lay bare his wretched life, the chances he squandered in youth, the cruelties he still dispenses, and the grim fate that awaits him should he refuse to change. Confronted with the unfolding tale of his own bitterness and meanness, he is compelled to decide what his future will hold: death or redemption.
