A Corner in Wheat
Spurred by a whim, a greedy magnate schemes to corner the global wheat market. This move doubles bread prices, forcing grain producers into charity lines and driving others deeper into poverty. The film juxtaposes the lives of the people who cultivate the wheat with the life of the man who profits from its sale.
