A Distant Thunder

Patty lies awake in a church basement, overwhelmed by fear and despair. She faces execution the following morning for refusing the Mark of the Beast. Aware of the fate that awaits her if she accepts it, she nonetheless cannot bring herself to believe in Christ. As others attempt to offer comfort and urge her to embrace the Lord, she lashes out at them.
