A Ring of Endless Light
On Seven Bay Island, 15-year-old Vicky Austin, alongside her sister Suzy and younger brother Rob, visits their grandfather, the retired Reverend Eaton, who appears gravely ill yet struggles to acknowledge the concern. There, the memory of a summer encounter with the affluent yet emotionally troubled Zachary Gray resurfaces as he returns to renew their acquaintance. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Adam Eddington recruits Vicky to assist with a research project involving a dolphin named Basil. In the course of this work, Vicky discovers she can telepathically communicate with Basil and his mate—and perhaps with Adam as well.
