Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya

Jhoomri and her husband, Bhimsha, move into a new neighbourhood, where their immediate neighbours comprise three squabbling couples: Vijay and Anjali, newly married; Appu Khote and Vimla, married with four children; and Ravi and Meena, also a married couple with one child. With wages unable to keep pace with inflation and the rising cost of living, they struggle to pay even the rent to their landlord, B.K. Kakkad. The wives decide to seek employment to augment their income, triggering humorous outcomes as their spouses go to extraordinary lengths to keep the women at home, even resorting to bringing a dancing girl home to cook and look after the children.
