**Absentia** follows Emily Byrne, an FBI agent who, after disappearing and being declared dead, reappears six years later and without memories. The attempt to reconnect with her son and her husband who has remarried, are in the middle of the investigation in the past of Emily and a dangerous serial killer. **Absentia** is also the **Stana Katic** (_Castle_) project for Amazon. While the series takes an interesting and strong premise as a basis, it only holds on the interpretations, accurate and correct, of the novel casting. The incessant attempt to maintain a dark atmosphere through silences or unrealistic decisions of the characters, undermines the potential of the series.
