Adopt a Highway
Russ Millings emerges from prison after serving a 21-year sentence for a third-strike conviction stemming from possession of an ounce of marijuana. As he attempts to adapt to a world he barely recognizes, including trying to learn how to use the internet, he discovers an abandoned infant in a dumpster behind the fast-food restaurant where he works as a dishwasher. Torn between acts of kindness and paralyzing fear, Russ realizes this moment could be his path to redemption.
