Airborne

An amiable teenage surfer, Mitchell Goosen, ends up staying with his aunt and uncle in Cincinnati, Ohio, while his parents head to Australia for work. There, he bonds with his cousin Wiley, and the duo sets out to navigate the high school maze—fending off bullies, pursuing the girl, and earning a slice of respect along the way.

GenerationofSwine

10/10

It hits every trope. It's the movie of an out of place kid that has to win over the people in the new city and in the process win the girl. We have seen this before. We saw it in Hocus Pocus, we saw it in Side Out, in North Shore, in Rad, in Thrashin, we saw it in a thousand other films that faithfully honor the trope. And a trope filled film bursting with the cliches of the genera isn't exactly a bad thing. After all, sometimes you just want mindless fun with the guarantee of a happy ending and little else. This film delivers on that... and references Nintendo Hockey, possibly the best sports game ever.
