Alex & Emma
Writer Alex Sheldon faces a one-month deadline to finish his novel or risk nonpayment, and if he fails, debt-laden Mafia figures will come looking for him. To accelerate the process, he hires typist Emma Dinsmore and begins dictating his manuscript. The book within the book charts a doomed love affair between a character resembling Alex and a woman named Polina Delacroix. Yet as Alex grows infatuated with Emma, his work takes a different turn.
