In rugby, there is no ace striker or number four batter, so who truly stands out as the team’s star? The story opens at the entrance ceremony of Kanagawa High School, where Kenji Gion, a small but fearless go-getter, joins the rugby club. He is accompanied by his classmate Iwashimizu, who carries a complicated past, and the sub-captain Hachiouji, who always looks after the club members with great care. At the center of the team is Captain Sekizan, a player of overwhelming ability who keeps his true intentions closely guarded. With such striking differences in personality and physical skill, the team must learn to unite and develop together if they hope to become the best.
