An American Affair

In the early 1960s, teenage Adam Stafford (Cameron Bright) becomes captivated by his new neighbor, Catherine Caswell (Gretchen Mol), a divorcée with a free-spirited, independent streak. He covertly observes her as she meets with enigmatic men, and despite his conservative parents’ warnings, he accepts a job tending her garden. As whispers circulate about a liaison between Caswell and President Kennedy, the two grow closer, but the surrounding political intrigue involving her circle soon encroaches on their friendship.
