Arizona Dream
An Inuit hunter races home on his sled, hauling a freshly caught halibut—a fish that threads the film, appearing in both real and imagined forms. Meanwhile, Axel tags fish in New York as a naturalist's gofer, content with life there until a messenger arrives, summoning him to Arizona for his uncle's wedding. The invitation is a ruse designed to draw Axel into the family business. In Arizona, he encounters two peculiar women: vivacious, needy, and plagued by neuroses and familial discord. He becomes romantically involved with one, while the other, rich but depressed, plays accordion tunes for a gaggle of pet turtles.
