Season 2

Assumpta harbors a dim view of the church. During the annual slave auction she is sold to Father Mac, who likewise does not think highly of Assumpta. Consequently, she must accommodate two visiting parish priests and a Bishop. Father Mac is unimpressed when he discovers Father Peter serving pints as Assumpta's slave. A musician, Enda O'Sullivan, moves into BallyK and is cast as Assumpta's love interest in the village play. Niamh is delighted and believes Assumpta should date him. During rehearsals Enda injures his ankle, and Peter is brought in to replace him, which results in a compromising situation observed by Father Mac. Brian refuses to fund the play unless Enda takes the lead. With a bit of help from Dr Ryan, Enda is back on his feet in time for opening night - much to Peter's disappointment.
