With Niamh's impending delivery, the last thing she needs is a stressful visit from Ambrose's mother, Imelda. Kathleen uncovers a supposed miracle at the church: a statue that begins to sweat. Within hours the town swarms, and Peter suspects that several residents stand to gain from the 'miracle': Assumpta's thriving at the pub; Padraig lands his first scoop for the local paper; Liam's and Donal's fast-food van is roaring; and Father Mac is pleased to see donations rise. Padraig's journalistic instincts are pressed into service as he investigates Brian, who is buying land from Eamonn and demands two access roads, yet keeps his motives hidden.
