After punching a renowned curator who labeled his work as textbook and lifeless, Handa Seishuu is sent to Gotō Island to steady his nerves and spark fresh inspiration for his calligraphy. Raised in the city all his life, he must adapt to country life while encountering a colorful cast of quirky characters during his tenure.
