Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome
Amid a ten-year war with the Cylons, a young Ensign William Adama joins the fleet. Disappointed not to be assigned to a fighter and instead posted to a freighter, his co-pilot is wary of piloting with a rookie, as he has only a short time before returning to civilian life. Their cargo is a civilian scientist, but almost immediately she gives them new orders and a fresh destination. Though she's not fully forthcoming about the details, Adama is intrigued, especially by the prospect of crossing into Cylon-controlled space. Yet nothing about the mission is as it seems.
