Be Afraid
Shortly after John Chambers and his family relocate to a quiet rural town in Pennsylvania, he begins to suffer from sleep paralysis. Lying there immobilized, trapped within a waking nightmare, otherworldly beings visit him; creatures that lurk in the darkest corners of the night and can be seen only from the corner of one’s eye. These encounters intensify into terror as John uncovers their sole purpose: the abduction of his seven-year-old son. In the end, John discovers the town's horrific secret—a portal on his land—and makes one final, desperate bid to save his son before the shadow people drag him away to their world.

It's far from perfect, but these low budget horrors starring E-list actors bring up such exceedingly low expectations, that I actually ended up being kind of pleasantly surprised by _Be Afraid_. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._
