Bea Arthur: The Documentary

An intimate portrait of the actress celebrated for Maude, The Golden Girls and Mame. Centered on a previously unreleased interview conducted by producer and director Dan Watt, the film traces Arthur's journey from The New School and New York theatre to Broadway and television. Through Arthur's own reflections and conversations with colleagues and close friends, the documentary looks beyond the tall, hilariously brassy public persona to reveal a woman who was also sensitive, vulnerable, compassionate, and deeply committed to the people and causes she valued.
