Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King
Renowned for his prodigious strength, Guts is a sword-for-hire drifting through a hollow life, fighting battle after battle with no clear purpose. That all shifts when he encounters Griffith, a striking, magnetic young leader who commands the mercenary Band of the Hawk and defeats him. Guts joins the Band, and a bond begins to form between the two men. Within the Band, Casca, the Band of the Hawk's rugged, solitary swordswoman, wrestles with accepting Guts and the impact he has on her world. As the pair train and fight alongside one another, Griffith continues his ascent, driven toward a set of enigmatic, prophesied ambitions. How far will Guts and Griffith go in pursuit of these goals, and where will fate lead them?
