Birth/Mother
Tarachime is a documentary film that explores the essence of life through childbirth. Director Naomi Kawase, whose work often centers on family, life, and death, reveals the profound bond of existence through her own experience of giving birth. "At first, I intended to film from the day I conceived a child until the moment I gave birth. But as I continued filming, I came to realize that this was not simply the story of one life. In the end, the film evolved into a higher dimension, allowing us to witness the bond that ties one life to another."
