Boyz Unlimited
Boyz Unlimited is a British comedy series created by David Walliams, Matt Lucas and Richard Osman. It originally aired on Channel 4 from 5 February to 12 March 1999. This six-part satire of the music industry stars Frank Harper as Nigel Gacey, a career criminal who grants himself a year to assemble his own boy band. Produced by Hat Trick Productions and credited as written by Osman, the show was met with poor ratings and unfavorable critical reception, leading to its cancellation. Walliams later said the experience prompted him and Lucas to refuse future collaborations with Hat Trick for many years, and Osman’s experience reportedly shook his confidence in his writing abilities.
